Before Power Pivot, we are facing limitation problem when working with huge data in Excel that we can only process up to 1,048,576 rows (2007 & 2010), that’s better compare to Excel 2003 which only allowed 65,536 rows maximum. Now with Power Pivot we’ll be able to process more than a million of rows, load and combine data from multiple data sources such as RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, Teradata, Sybase, Informix, etc.), Microsoft Access, Text/CSV files, and off course other Excel files.
